Nearly all of New Town’s rental stock is in gated societies built in the last fifteen years, so lifts, parking, generator backup, security and often a gym or pool come as standard. Action Area I near DLF is the most expensive and the most convenient for IT workers; Action Area II around City Centre 2 mixes offices and homes; Action Area III is quieter, more residential and slightly cheaper, with big family-oriented complexes.

Eco Park is the city’s largest urban park, the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Nazrul Tirtha and Rabindra Tirtha host events and culture, City Centre 2 and Axis Mall cover shopping and cinemas, and Tata Medical Center and other hospitals are close. Sector V is ten to fifteen minutes, the airport about twenty, and the Chinar Park junction links you to VIP Road.
